Business trip Brazil for market research

Earlier this month, our CEO Geert Vonck and E-Trade Unit Business Manager Patrick Bauwens travelled to Brazil for customer and prospection visits in the agricultural E-Trade sector.

The trip offered new insights into the future of the local wholesale markets and auctions.

They spoke with flower, fruit and vegetables wholesale markets that believe in the E-Commerce concept (web shop) as a complement to their physical business.
Also the fisheries sector is demonstrating its belief in a digital sales and information platform to market their products, by carrying out a feasibility study.

In addition, our current customer Veiling Holambra – with its growing turnover and supply of flowers – is open to further automation of their sales.

Visits to growers gave us the chance to map out their technological needs, which again led to new insights.

Finally, Patrick Bauwens gave a presentation to students of the University of Holambra, which lead up to some interesting questions and theories.

In short, there are still many possibilities for the automation of auction solutions in Brazil, an opportunity on which Aucxis will continue to work actively!
