On 9 June, the directors of the French fish auctions will gather for the annual convention, this time at the auction of Saint Gilles Croix de Vie. As usual, Aucxis has been invited as a loyal auction system supplier we are looking forward to meet everyone live again.

During the ‘Forum de l’Association des Directeurs et Responsables des Halles à Marée de France’, the auction managers will make an excursion to strengthen their relationships. After the excursion there will be time for networking and having a little chat with the invited suppliers, including Aucxis. As previous years, the event concludes with a cosy dinner.

Due to COVID-19, it has been since 2019 that the meeting was held physically. At that time, KOSMOS, our real-time trading and information platform in the cloud was still in its infancy. Today KOSMOS has become a full product which has already been successfully implemented at various fish auctions worldwide, for example the three locations of the auction network EFICE (in the Netherlands), Brixham Trawler Agents, Plymouth Trawler Agents, Shetland Seafood Auctions and W. Stevenson & Sons (in the United Kingdom). So it is high time to talk to everyone about the evolution of our online trading platform!

We will take the opportunity to give an  update on the KOSMOS rollout at the CCIMBO auction network. Currently, our KOSMOS team is working hard to prepare the launch of phase 1, the centralised sale of all “blue fish”. In parallel, we are installing the hardware – among which new input terminals with touchscreens, cameras for taking pictures of the fish, LED panels for the clocks – at the six auction locations in preparation of phase 2: the centralised sale of all fish species via KOSMOS.

We are looking forward to catch up live with all stakeholders in the French fishing industry on 9 June!
