CCIMBO Quimper delegation visits Aucxis

The first steps towards the online trading platform KOSMOS for the CCIMBO – Quimper delegation – have been taken. Eventually, KOSMOS will connect the 6 fish auctions with each other and enable an easy real-time purchase and sale from anywhere.

The conversion of the auction systems has been approached thoroughly and in phases. The detailed functional analysis was finalised in January; from February until May, the requested additional functionalities have been developed, tested and added to the standard KOSMOS platform.

Last week Aucxis received a delegation of the CCIMBO in Belgium for three days of functional tests, which provide the basis for phase 1 of the project – the centralised sale of all “blue fish” – going into production soon.

The next step will be the rollout of the hardware for phase 1 and a training to the auction staff. After that, the new hardware for phase 2 will be installed, such as the network, the terminals with touchscreens and industrial keyboards, PCs and ticket printers.

Next, phase 2 of the project will be started, with the 6 fish auctions centralising and selling all supply, enabling an efficient and smooth information transfer to all those involved.

Both the CCIMBO and Aucxis are very much looking forward to the launch of phase 1, a big step forward in the further digitisation of all the customer’s auction processes.
